That early version of Cole, short-haired and razor-focused, represents the “cub phase,” the beginning of a journey where greatness is still a dream but the hunger is undeniable.

As the artwork progresses, it transitions into the Cole we know today—wise, seasoned, and unshakeable. His iconic long dreads mirror Simba’s transformation from a curious cub into a full-grown lion who earned his place through struggle, self-belief, and countless battles with self-doubt.
